Bondi Beach Hate Attack

  Bondi Beach Hate Attack

The Bondi Beach attack is a stark reminder that antisemitic violence did not end with the horrific Holocaust, Jewish life continues threated even in open, democratic societies today.

We stand with Australia’s Jewish community, their survivors and their families.

All people who refuse to accept a world in which Jews must fear gathering openly to celebrate their traditions.

Be aware of the thought expressed after the Holocaust by A German Protestant Pastor.

First, they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

—Martin Niemöller

Hatred affects everyone, particularly in a democratic society.  First, the Jews, then . . .
