and yes to your ongoing mission for promoting, advancing the acts that
sharpen and deepen our individual and collective power of ….'memory.'
In this spirit,
I want to share an adage that very recently came to my attention, with credit
to the great, internationally renowned Israeli(South African born) educator:
Avraham Infeld—recalling the past is not so much history as it is memory. In
this spirit, I cite a revered colleague, and esteemed teacher, Professor
Michael Meyer, Hebrew Union College, Cincinnati. The Jew speaks less in terms
of "history" than TOLDOT, expressing the human
chronicles of one's culture. At the core of course is the
root,
