contributed most among Trenton Jews, but I never knew the all about the Leven
family. Did you? Danny called me several years ago; how can I contact him?

This
is wonderful! I did it before-maybe 6+ years ago. Please warn folks who are
allergic to poison ivy or oak. I didn't ever have it before I helped with the
graves. Sadly, I can not help anymore, due to health reasons.

Some notes to
Levin Family story
As Broadway actor, Dan appeared in the Diary of Anne Frank. He also
appeared in the theatrical production, A Gift of Time” with Henry Fonda.
He (Louis Levin) and his
wife were blessed with two sons, Jonas and Robert.
Jonas Levin had three children and one
granddaughter.
Josh Levin was manager of
Cafe Society in NYC.
Dan Levin wrote a story
himself:

me this latest draft of your work and I appreciate all the labor you are
putting
into this history. I know Joyce gave you some notes and I have a few
to add.
I worked as
an apprentice at three different summer stock companies: The Westport
Country
Playhouse in Ct; The Bucks County Playhouse in New Hope and
The La Jolla
Playhouse in La Jolla, CA.
To be
correct in my chronology, "The Diary Of Anne Frank"opened in
October, 1955 just after my Fulbright year in London. The army came afterwards
as I was drafted after 10 months in the Broadway play of "Diary".
Joyce mentioned that I was in "A Gift of Time" with Henry Fonda.
It
ran for three months on Broadway. The other star was Olivia de Havilland.
The acting
credits for my summer stock days should only include plays by
Pinter,
Osborne, O'Neill, but not Ibsen or Chekhov or Shaw. Those last three were
done in college. Forget those. The Shakespeare plays were done in Repertory
(Hamlet,
As You Like It, Julius Caesar) at The Old Globe in San Diego and
(Hamlet,
As You Like It and A Midsummer Nights Dream) at the McCarter Theater
in Princeton.

July 13, 2017 Mike Kuzma As a suggestion, many of the ancient "public burial grounds" like Mercer Cemetery on South Clinton Ave. near the train Station was also neglected and verged on desecration. Someone assembled a volunteer group and cleaned it up nicely. This was a few years ago I had read this. I was always interested in that spot, and tried to buy it for development many decades ago. Sammy Gordon's law partner was on the board, and we wound up 2 votes short. You may want to look into some volunteer group, or a college work program for credits situation. Good luck.
